This brand new 2018 RF sweeper can detect and locate CDMA signals. CDMA employs spread spectrum technology and a special coding scheme (where each transmitter is assigned a code). Other wireless detectors can not detect CDMA signals. Originally invented by the U.S. military for anti-spy detection and contains radio frequency hopping technology called Code Division Multiple Access. This type of signal is normally hard to detect but can now be easily and accurately detected.
Although this detector can find CDMA signals it won't detect devices that are not in use. This includes devices that are switched off - non active - sleep mode devices. The device must be active and transmitting a signal for G318 to detect. If the suspected device is off or not in use then there is nothing to detect. It will only detect when activated and in use sending and receiving signals that are detectable. This will not detect anything when scanning over a switched off tracker.

Detector is for handheld purposes to efficiently sweep areas for RF signals. The top panel on the left is the antenna, in middle is charge port and on right is the sensitivity dial. Adjust clockwise to strengthen sensitivity and counter clockwise to reduce sensitivity. The front panel is 10 level LED indicator, the first LED is charge indicator, it will light up when charging, then go off when fully charged. The second LED is the power switch indicator and will blink when power is too low. The third to tenth is for detection level, a signal from weak to strong. When all lights flash it will produce "beeping" sound and beeps faster the stronger the signal becomes. On the right of LED display is on/off power switch.
